Gergana Jouleva is the initiator, one of the founders and the current Executive Director of Access to Information Programme. Gergana Jouleva has been professionally involved in the access to information area since 1995. She is an author of a number of publications focusing on the freedom of information. She is a member of the Steering Committee of the International Freedom of Information Advocates Network, member of the Editorial Board of Freedominfo.org, member of the Advisory Board of Access-Info Europe and of Privacy International.

Alexander Kashumov studied Law and Philosophy at the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". He has been working in the freedom of information area since 1997. Alexander Kashumov was recognized as an "Attorney of the Year" for 2008 by the Legal World magazine.

Fany Davidova studied Law at the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". Before becoming part of AIP legal team, she worked as a court reporter for the Bulgarian National Radio.

Darina Palova studied Law at the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski".

Kiril Terziiski studied Law at the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski".

Tereza Mandjukova studied Law at the Panthéon-Assas University, Paris.

Stephan Anguelov studied law in Centre Européen Universitaire - University Nancy 2 and philosophy in the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Diana Bancheva studied History and Political Science/International Relations at the American University in Bulgaria.

Ralitza Katzarska studied Library and Information Sciences and European Public Administration at the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohrdiski".

Nikolay N. Ninov studied French Philology at the Veliko Tarnovo University "St. Cyril and St. Methodius". He established the country network of journalists. He is an author, compiler, and editor of ten books. He is a recipient of the Annual Award of the Union of Bulgarian Journalists (1996).
