Executive Director of AIP

Gergana Jouleva is the initiator, one of the founders and the current Executive Director of Access to Information Programme. Gergana Jouleva has been professionally involved in the access to information area since 1995. She is an author of a number of publications focusing on the freedom of information. She is a member of the Steering Committee of the International Freedom of Information Advocates Network, member of the Editorial Board of, member of the Advisory Board of Access-Info Europe and of Privacy International.

Alexander Kashumov studied Law and Philosophy at the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". He has been working in the freedom of information area since 1997. Alexander Kashumov was recognized as an "Attorney of the Year" for 2008 by the Legal World magazine.

Coordinator of AIP country network of journalists

Nikolay N. Ninov studied French Philology at the Veliko Tarnovo University "St. Cyril and St. Methodius". He established the country network of journalists. He is an author, compiler, and editor of ten books. He is a recipient of the Annual Award of the Union of Bulgarian Journalists (1996).
