Access to Information Programme country-network of journalists was established in 1997. The 27 coordinators who are forming the network are well known journalists and socially active persons. Working for broadcasting, printed and electronic media, they identify and analyze specific cases of public interest, creating a clear picture of the practices of information seeking and provision in the country.
AIP coordinators raise awareness on AIP strategies and activities by publishing in local media, they write materials for AIP monthly newsletter, organize workshops and public discussions with AIP experts at a local level, provide advice to colleague-journalists and citizens on how to exercise their right under the Access to Public Information Act.
