The AIP held the 15th Right to Know Day Awards Ceremony in Bulgaria to present the “Golden Key” awards to citizens, journalists, and NGOs, who have actively exercised their right of access to information and public authorities with good transparency practices. Institutions with bad transparency practices receive the “Padlock” anti-award, while absurd practices are recognized with the “Tied Key” anti-award.
45 nominees competed in the six categories. The media outreach has been escalating, reaching to 35 publications, radio and TV interviews.
In 2017, the RKD Awards Ceremony was possible thanks to the funds raised by the AIP via the platform Indiegogo: https://igg.me/at/irtkd2017-Bulgaria/x.
The 2017 RKD Awards Ceremony was held on 28 September 2017 (Thursday) at 4:00 pm (EET) at the Literature Club Peroto (Bulgaria Sq. 1, National Palace of Culture, Sofia).
