Statement on draft law with amendments to the Access to Public Information Act

On March 29, 2022 the AIP sent an official statement to comment a draft law with amendments to the Access to Public Information Act.
The planned amendments were published for public discussion on the Bulgarian Portal for Public Consultation in the period 16 – 30 March 2022. The main reason for drafting the legislative changes is the need to implement Directive (EU) 2019/1024 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 June 2019 on open data and the re-use of public sector information.
