On June 22, 2016, the AIP submitted its statement on the Draft Third National OGP Action Plan within the public consultation on the Government Public Consultations Portal.
As a result of AIP participation in the discussion process, the Access to Information was formulated as an independent thematic issue in the Third National OGP Action Plan. AIP recommends the inclusion of measures related to the implementation of the 2015 APIA amendments and to sectoral policies on transparency.

Analysis on draft amendments to the Electronic Communications Law, adopted at first reading on May 27, 2016, was prepared by the Head of AIP Legal Team Alexander Kashumov and published and disseminated electronically to 2,400 subscribers of AIP monthly newsletter of May 2016: Do Amendments to the Electronic Communications Act Pose Any Threats to The Rights of the Citizens?.
The conclusions were covered by national media like bTV, Dnevnik daily, Trud daily, De Facto Legal, etc.

The AIP has prepared and submitted on March 16, 2016 to the Council of Ministers a statement on the Draft Law on Prevention of Corruption and Confiscation of Unlawfully Acquired Property (Anti-corruption Law).
The Draft Law was published on the Government Public Consultation Portal. The statement is posted on the blog Access Point: http://blog.aip-bg.org/publications/988 , disseminated to 400 subscribers, most of them journalists and NGOs.
As a result, the AIP critical remarks with regard to achieving more efficient legislation on the issue were covered by national media like Mediapool, Sega daily, TV Evropa, etc. The Head of AIP Legal Team Alexander Kashumov was invited to a meeting with other experts by the sponsor of the Draft Anti-corruption Law Minister Meglena Kuneva on March 22, 2016.
